Introduction |
Configuration Wizard NT is a Remote Administration Utility. Its purpose to set (mostly) security relevant hidden options from Windows NT from computers across all obtainable domains if you have the rights! Configuration Wizard NT is a very useful utility for Network Manager, Advanced Users and Software Developers. This program is freeware. As such, we give no warranty to its accuracy, fitness for any particular use, effects of use, or reliability. It may be freely distributed, although it must be distributed with all original files in their original format intact. Please contact the authors, Falk Schmal and Torsten Sprejz, at one of the email addresses with questions, comments, bug-reports or any updates you make to the program. Caution: Editing the Registry can cause serious problems that might make it necessary to reinstall Windows NT. Before you work with Configuration Wizard please make a backup of your registry!! Note: In general, if you change values for any entries in CurrentControlSet, you must restart the computer for the changes to take effect. If you change values for entries under HKEY_CURRENT_USER, you may have to log off and log back on for the changes to take effect. |
Installation |
Just copy cfgwiz.exe onto your executable path, and type "cfgwiz.exe" or start it with doubleclick on the icon Configuration Wizard NT has been tested on NT 4.0. |

You can set the options in all computers in various domains, if you know an account and the complying password, which have the rights to administer services. Now it's possible to reach computers with directly input of the name or the IP-addess in the following convention: \\name or \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx! |
